Ultem is a new material on the custom pen front. I think Ian Shon was one of the first to use it. I had a customer request a pen and ordered several rods. So, we're going to do a very limited run of ultem pens (5 at most).
This material lends itself well to our larger evancio pen. It's been polished inside and out giving it a distinct amber glow.
Pen comes with a black clip and would look good with a polished steel, 24kt gold, or black nib. We can also retro fit it for a BOCK #8 nib.

ULTEM ™ PolyEtherImide (PEI) is an amber transparent high performance polymer which combines high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures with long term heat resistance. ULTEM ™ offers excellent dimensional stability combined with broad chemical resistance. ULTEM ™ is also inherently flame resistant and low smoke generating. It excels in medical reusable applications requiring repeated sterilization and is available in FDA compliant colors.
ULTEM ™ is inherently flame retardant material has UL94 V0, V2 and 5VA ratings and is RoHS compliant.
