So, first... I believe this to be a Brooks Black Mop blank. If I am mistaken, please correct me. I had this in inventory and my assistant Ray chose to make a pen from this.
I do not often make pens from Jonathan Brooks' materials.. they are beautiful and many makers work almost exclusively with this materials... so I don't want to over do it ... but I do have a small quantity aside for folks who specifically request them.
Ray Castillo has been working for me for around 3 years. He's come a long way and is a good maker in his own right. While going through my blank supply, he pulled this one and decided to make a pen.
What more is there to say but it's beautiful... it's a brooks blank!
