In the Roman era, copper was principally mined on Cyprus, the origin of the name of the metal, from ase cyprium (metal of Cyprus). This was later corrupted down to Copper which we use in the english language. This pen was completely copper inspired.. it is one of my favorite metals. Using a combination of copper colored mica power, and some dyes, I created the blank to give depth to the appearance.
This is a moderate sized pen. The only adornment is the clip. It's about 5.8" long, is postable, and is about 14.5mm at it's widest point on the barrel. It's extremely comfortable to write with, and is well balanced whether posted or not.
