Please note, this pen is slightly smaller than the other Empyrean's. Cap threads are 12mm instead of 13mm, giving a much reduced body diameter.
My daughter Emma is responsible for coming up with a lot of my pen names. She's incredibly creative. She also happens to be learning to mix and pour my resin rods. This was one of her first attempts. It was so good, I decided to make it part of my standard line.
Empryean as an adjective means "belonging to or deriving from Heaven". As a noun means "Heaven, in particular the highest part of heaven". This particular mix of colors, it's beauty, is what I'd like to think a warm day in heaven looks like. The pen has a simple chrome clip. It's a little shorter than most and is postable. Included is our new finial medallion (pictured in the photos)
If you want a light pen that you can post, that's beautiful to use and look at, this is the one. Unfortunately, the stock is sold out, but Jim can make you one using what he has available and use this shape. I can't say enough about the pens his company makes. They know their stuff. Jeez, I just bought three more. Can't wait to get them.
My new Classic Empryean is another great Hinze pen. It's light but not too light, especially with the deep posting of the cap, which makes it very comfortable for long writing sessions. It's my third Hinze FP and won't be my last. Well done to Jim Hinze and his team. Bless y'all.
